Yes, with one important caveat. ChatGPT can't connect to Brazilian banks on its own. The native ChatGPT Finances feature, launched on May 15, 2026, runs on Plaid, which only covers US banks and has no access to Brazil's Open Finance. So asking ChatGPT to read your Nubank, Itaú or Inter statement does not work natively. Manio fixes this: you connect your Brazilian bank to Manio through Open Finance, regulated by the Central Bank, and authorize your own AI agent (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or any MCP client) to read the transactions. Access is read-only: the AI analyzes your spending, categorizes expenses and answers questions about your finances, but never moves money.
