The short answer
ChatGPT Finances runs on Plaid, a financial data aggregator that only covers institutions in the United States (and parts of Canada and Europe). Plaid does not participate in Open Finance Brasil, so the feature cannot see Nubank, Itaú, Inter or any Brazilian bank. Why Plaid does not cover Brazil
Plaid was built around the US banking model, where data sharing has always relied on private integrations between aggregators and banks. Brazil took a different path: Open Finance, regulated by the Central Bank since 2021, standardizes sharing through official, mandatory APIs.
